Truck dispatch from Chicagoland, for carriers who run through it.
Our US office is in Addison, in DuPage County, about twenty miles west of downtown Chicago. We dispatch carriers across 48 states, and Chicago is the market we know from the inside — the freight, the traffic, the tolls and the docks.
Counts from our own system since July 2026, not marketing estimates.
Where Illinois freight goes
Most of the freight we pick up in Illinois stays in the Midwest. After loads that never leave the state, the most common destinations are Ohio, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana and Minnesota, with regular runs to Tennessee, Texas, Iowa and New York.
Pickups cluster where Chicagoland’s warehouses do — Chicago itself, Bolingbrook, Joliet, West Chicago, Carol Stream, Bensenville, Franklin Park and Elk Grove Village, and further out in University Park, Decatur and Peru. Inbound, the same Midwest states feed Illinois back: Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana top the list.
Why dispatching around Chicago is its own job.
The country’s freight crossroads
Chicago is where the major railroads meet and where interstates including I-55, I-57, I-80, I-88, I-90 and I-94 converge. That means a lot of outbound freight — and a lot of trucks competing for it.
Joliet, Elwood and the warehouse belt
The rail ramps and warehouse clusters south-west of the city are among the busiest freight districts in the country. Loads out of them are plentiful, and so are long waits at the dock — we plan appointments and detention around both.
Tolls change the numbers
Much of the Chicago-area highway network is the Illinois Tollway, where trucks pay by axle count and rates change with the time of day. We price tolls into the load before accepting it — our own toll tool shows the cost of each lane for a five-axle truck.
City rules for trucks
Chicago restricts trucks on many streets and bans them from Lake Shore Drive entirely, and city deliveries often come with tight receiving windows. We check access and appointment times before the driver heads in.
Winter is a dispatch problem
From December into March, snow and ice around the Great Lakes slow pickups, close docks and strand trucks. We re-plan around the weather instead of letting it eat the week.
A local office, long hours
A US office in Addison and dispatch teams in Lviv and Khmelnytskyi cover early mornings, late evenings and emergencies without handing you to an answering service.
